DIY - How to Make a Simple, Cheap and Simple Soft Box

If you need to take product photos of small object here is a simple and efficient solution.

What you will need to create the soft box:

-  four sheets of paper size A4
-  duct tape
-  tow light sources
-  scissors

Tow of the paper sheets will be the side walls of the soft box.

You need to bend 5 cm from the width and length for the tow sheets.
Cut 5 cm on the width bend from the length of the paper.

Put the tow side by side.

Reveres the tow papers and stick one normal A4 sheet like below.

Now make a box, closing the side walls and the middle A4 sheet inside of the walls.

Now you need to put another sheet of paper to continue the base of the soft box.

The soft box is finished now.

For taking photos you need 2 sources of light each one directed into the side walls of the soft box.

The tow sources of light may be 2 flashes or lamps.

You can make awesome picture of various products.

Soft box earrings trick

For photos of earrings and float objects you need:

-  the soft box + lights
-  a needle and thread
-  a tripod

Put the tripod above the soft box.
Pass with the thread through the side walls of the soft box with the needle.
The thread binds to the tripod legs.

You can easily remove the thread in Adobe Photoshop using the spot healing brush and clone stamp tool and light the background more.
